From atop my favorite mountain, Mt. Tam, I thought I had missed the show. But as the sun set lower, the colors began to pop. My telephoto allowed me to hone in on a treelike that swam in the sea of fog. This evening became challenging after the shot, as I descended the hill in pure darkness. Some damage, both physically & with equipment, I was grateful I at least returned with this frozen moment of beauty.
